What a year! About this time two years ago we were deciding whether I should retire from the Navy (am I that old?), or leave California move half way around the world and spend an arduous two years back on a ship
(am I that stupid?).  It was an extremely difficult decision, but stupidity won out and off to Guam we went.  It turned out to be a smart move. When we finally leave for our next duty station in April, we will take with us
some wonderful memories, lots of souvenirs, and a very small bank account.
One downside is that we’ve been away from family and friends for almost
two years.  Hopefully, that will change next year.
